Everything is made beautiful in its time!

When you’re destined for greatness, it can become frustrating waiting on “your time” to come. Others are seemingly moving forward in their purpose and you feel stuck.

You start second guessing, comparing, coveting, and even resenting. Why them and not me? Did I hear God right? Does anyone see what's on the inside of me?

It can even make you give up on your purpose altogether because you aren’t where you thought you’d be by now. Your reality is not aligning with your dreams. You reflect on the prayers you've prayed and the prophetic words you’ve received and get frustrated. Sigh.

How do I know this? Well, I’ve been there.

What I’ve come to realize is that my faith has to be based on what God SAID and not what I SEE. God doesn’t lie. Period.

Also, my identity is not in my level of success, my net worth, or my number of social media followers. My identity is in being a child of God. If I never reach a major platform or make a million dollars, I will be okay because my identity is not tied to things that are temporal and fleeting.

Be careful not to make your pursuit of success your idol. An idol is anything that we place before God. God wants us to prosper but not at the expense of our relationship with Him. Matthew 5:33 lets us know that if we make God's kingdom and righteousness our priority, then our wants and desires will be granted.

Everything is made beautiful in it’s time (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Butterflies are beautiful but they don't start out that way. They must submit to the process of metamorphosis and trust that the one who created them knows what He's doing. They go into the cocoon crawling and come our flying. Wow!

Your time will come.

In the meantime...Study. Prepare. Learn who you are. Build genuine friendships. Build your faith. Draw close to God. Serve well. Celebrate others.

 “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9)
