The Truth About Manifestation

As Christians, we must be careful when we adopt language because it’s popular. I see so many people using the language of “manifestation”- “I’m manifesting the life I want”, “I’m manifesting my dreams”, etc..

Manifestation is defined as bringing something tangible into your life through the law of attraction and belief.

This is rooted new age ideology and directly contradicts the word of God. The belief that you can have anything you hope or wish for (magical thinking) makes us less reliant on God. We start to think that we’ve got all the power and that our destiny is our hands. This is exactly the type of thinking that got Lucifer kicked out of heaven.

As human beings, we have a will and personal agency but our will must be fully submitted to God. We don’t manifest anything ourselves but we trust God to grant us the desires of our heart according to HIS will and purpose. Our faith (belief) is in God, not stuff.

To manifest something (or someone) through a means other than God’s will is divination. This opens a door to the enemy and he will start manifesting things in your life that you didn’t ask for. Some may say, “It’s not that deep” but it actually is. The enemy is on assignment to kill, steal and destroy and he is always looking for an entrance into our lives. We truly perish for a lack of knowledge.

I encourage you all not to adopt language, beliefs, or practices because they are popular or seem spiritual. Take the time to do your research and search the scriptures. Also, ask the Holy Spirit for guidance because he will always lead you to the truth.

“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.” (Prov. 14:12)
